Fundraising is an important part of GCS. It plays an integral part in keeping our tuition and book rates down. There are many ways you can help support the ministry of Greenwood Christian School. We collect items for Terracycle and paper for Paper Retriever. Both programs help raise funds for our school. For more information on these programs, click here.We participate in Target's Take Charge of Education program. When parents use their red card at Target, Target donates 1% of their purchases to the school they designate. GCS earns approximately $450 each year from Target. For more information on this program, click here.We participate in Marsh's Fresh Ideas for Education program. This program earns shopping credit for our school and has supplied many items for our physical education program and extended care program. For more information on this program, click here.We participate in Box Tops for Education. This program earns our school approximately $1800 per year. For more information about Box Tops for Education, click here.We have a children's rummage sale each year. Sellers pay $10 to participate in the sale and receive 75% of the profit from the items they sell. The school receives 25% of all items sold. We coordinate and manage the sale while sellers price items and drop them off. When the sale is over, the seller can decide to pick up their items not sold or can choose to donate them to a local charity.Throughout the year we sponsor several McTeacher Nights at McDonald's. You can invite your friends and family to eat at the McDonald's restaurant at 31 and Worthsville Road. You’ll be surprised to see which of the teachers and staff will be working behind the counter and cleaning tables. 10% of all sales (dining in or drive through) during the 3 hour time frame goes to GCS. We anticipate making approximately $1000-$1500 for GCS this year!
